About

We are a family run business, dedicated in offering patients direct treatment for the construction, repairing and fitting of removable dental appliances.

What is a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT)?

CDTs are registered Dental Care Professionals who are regulated by the General Dental Council. Their position allows them to offer patients direct treatment of the construction, repairing and fitting of removeable dental appliances.

Do I need to see a dentist prior to visiting The Denture Clinic?

If you still have some of your own natural teeth, Clinical Dental Technicians are required by dental regulations to work in partnership with a dentist. This means we need a signed treatment plan or prescription from a dentist before we can carry out treatments.

This ensures your remaining teeth, gums, and overall oral health have been properly assessed, and that your denture will be designed safely and effectively for your mouth. Working together in this way helps to protect your oral health and ensures you receive the highest standard of care.

When you agree to have treatment at our clinic, our reception team will send your dentist a treatment plan for them to sign and return. If you haven’t been seen recently for a dental checkup, your dentist may contact you to book in for a checkup before they sign the form.

If you are not registered with a dentist:

Our team can recommend a local dentist close to you where you can arrange a dental checkup. (Separate charges will apply)

Who are the BACDT?

The British Association of Clinical Dental Technology (BACDT) is the leading professional association that looks to sustain and advance the ethical practice of Clinical Dental Technology. The Denture Clinic is a registered member of the BACDT.
